How to buy Bitcoin on Cash App

Are you looking to buy some bitcoin but not sure exactly how to do it?

Well you’re in luck because I’m going to show you how you can buy bitcoin using Cash App. CashApp is a super simple mobile solution. It doesn’t get any easier than CashApp. With CashApp you can make one-time purchases and/or automatic recurring purchases. Keep stacking Sats!

What is Cash App?

Cash App is a mobile app on that you can download from your device’s app store. It’s just like Venmo, Paypal, Zelle, and Strike where you can send and receive money from other people. You’re going to want to download Cash App from the app store. Once you do that you’ll see this main screen here.

At the bottom of the app, there’s several icons. If you have not set up a way to fund your account then Tap the icon on the far left. Add a Debit Card so that Cash App pull the required funds needed to purchase Bitcoin. Once you have added a Debit card, tap the icon just to the right of the center $ icon. This will bring you to the page where you can buy bitcoin.

When you first click buy it’s going to ask you to do some KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. They require all the same information that you’re going to have to give with any brokerage or exchange. This includes some personal information like your name, email address, physical address, face verification, and a picture of your ID. Once that’s approved you’ll be able to buy bitcoin through Cash App.

A really cool feature with Cash App is that you can purchase Bitcoin using a one time orders and additionally you can set up automatic recurring purchases. You can set a daily buy, a weekly buy, or a buy every 2 weeks. Using a one-time order, you can purchase as little as a dollar. That’s amazing!

You could buy one one dollar at a time and it would take three cents in fees. So I would pay 3% in fees and would get 97 cents worth of bitcoin. The fees are are somewhat variable depending on the volatility of bitcoin but usually are around 2-3%.

Let’s buy $100 worth of Bitcoin. At an exchange rate of $18,537. I’m going to get $97.73 worth of bitcoin they’re taking $2.27 so it’s a little over two percent of fees on this purchase.

I’ll hit done and boom there it is! I have bought Bitcoin quickly and simply through Cash App.

Cash App also includes a nice graph where you can check the price of bitcoin by tapping your finger on the screen and dragging it. You can change the time frame of the chart and can track the price of bitcoin right here in the app.
